Smile. We have so much to smile and be thankful for. Even through illness and struggle, kids like these find it in themselves to smile. These children live in a community called “Dark Water.” The name explains the community. It is a very low area of the city that floods every time there is substantial rainfall like last week when hurricane Richard came through this part of the Caribbean. The people who live here are the poorest of the poor. The water is not drinkable. There is no sewer system. 50% of the children do not attend school.
But, in the midst of it all, Sondra, our partner here, runs a school for 200 children. Because of her great passion and love, these children can smile. Help someone smile today, complement someone – make someone’s day.
Stay thankful.
Blessings - Jim
