Last weekend was a fantastic time at Ridge Point – on all our campuses.
At the Main Campus nearly 200 families in Pullman who need to know they are noticed, loved, and valued were “adopted” by Pointers. The gifts of food, to be given to families who need a hand, came pouring in and nearly 200 families will be told “we love you” this coming week with that gift. The coolest is that all these gifts will be delivered by Pointers who will personally share Jesus’ love. I pray lasting relationships of grace result! Pray with me!
At Moran Park over 200 people were there for worship and to study the Bible and then stayed for their first Thanksgiving feast with turkey, ham, and all the “fixin’s.” One Parker said, “There was food for the soul and the body and friends to share it all with!” In attendance was a young women who has been helped by Parkers to get her High School diploma – she could not afford child care and was about to quit. Not only did she graduate but she started college this past fall. How cool is that?!?
At our campus across from GVSU was a training session for trip leaders for their mission to Honduras over Christmas break. There was also a sign up for leaders for their local initiatives in downtown Grand Rapids. They will again – they send 2 to 3 groups a year – go to Comayagua and assist our partners there in fixing the brokenness of poverty and continue to encourage the homeless in Grand Rapids to journey out of the cycle of hopeless to their potential in Jesus. Pray for them!
Tonight we can all gather together to personally and communally thank Jesus for all He is doing to show His love through us. I love that – we can actually reveal the love of Heaven by being and showing thankfulness. Join me tonight at 5:30 or 7:00 for an hour of energetic thanksgiving. The kids’ choir is leading us. The Adult choir is on the platform. The bass is cranked up and the band will be rocking. They only let me talk for a few minutes – so it is bound to be good!
This coming weekend is another “don’t dare miss” time. All weekend on the Main Campus and at Moran Park we will celebrate people Publically Declaring their faith in Jesus through profession and baptism. The stories are a blessing to hear and you get to see people coming out and saying – I’m All In for Jesus.
Don’t miss tonight or this weekend – and don’t let anyone else miss it either! Do “the ask” and bring everyone you know who is looking for what you have found!
Love you all – happy Thanksgiving!
