Good Friday and Easter

The sun is out (for now) and it feels like spring!

This weekend at Ridge Point we joyfully acknowledge some of the most important events of our Faith. Tomorrow, Good Friday, at 5:30pm and 7:00pm we celebrate the price Jesus paid so that we can live without shame! Our King placed Himself in harm’s way and died for us! The One who now calls us friend suffered for us to be able to know purity of mind, heart, and soul, and that is something to celebrate!

Central to the Good Friday service will be the Lord’s Supper in Communion. We will eat with Jesus, the Disciples and Christians from the beginning of the Church in the meal that celebrates our forgiveness and God’s love for us.

Don’t miss the music, the Word, and the celebration; and please encourage your friends and family to join!

On Easter Weekend we will pull out even more stops to really celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus – the only leader to defeat death for His followers. On Saturday at 6:pm and Sunday at 8:30am, 10:00am and 11:30am we will revel in the Love God has for Jesus and us and enjoy the Spirit’s affirmation of our life eternal – and our ability to bring full life here to West Michigan just as Jesus did to the whole world.

The Centre (our old auditorium) has a great video venue with three large screens and coffee. If you enjoy Ren’s or the Commons and are looking for a seat on the weekend you will really enjoy the Centre.

More people will come to church at Easter if asked by someone attending than any other time of the year, even Christmas. Invite your neighbor, co-worker, family members, even your mother-in-law and share life with them!

I love you all – HE IS RISEN! Jim
